Founder and CEO – Vinca Technologies

Etienne Kiss-Borlase

​

Etienne is the Founder and CEO of Vinca Technologies. Etienne is also the founder and major shareholder of the Clean Resources Group. Etienne identified the need in 2016 for the metal processing industry to depollute by developing new clean processes. Vinca’s aim is to harvest efficiently and with a much lower environmental footprint the metals that nature provides or that can be recycled, and that industries require. Etienne has significant experience creating, developing, and managing results-orientated, good governance companies. Previously Etienne founded and operated a Strategic Management, Audit and Fiduciary Consultancy, based in Geneva & Singapore. Etienne began his professional career as an investment banker in London. Etienne is a Swiss national, with an MBA from University of St Gallen and is a qualified CPA. Etienne holds a number of other private directorships and is a member of the Swiss Mining Institute.

Inventor and Head Chemist – Vinca Technologies

Dr Hassan Elsentriecy

Hassan is the inventor of the Vinca Process. He is the Head Chemist of Vinca Technologies as well as the lead developer of the ground-breaking patented Vinca high recovery non toxic metal extraction process. Hassan is a renowned electrochemist and materials research scientist, specialising in materials corrosion mitigation for advanced materials engineering applications for over 15 years. Hassan previously led the US University of Arizona research into solar power applications, funded by the US Department of Energy. Prior to that, Hassan worked for Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Corrosion Science & Technology Group, evaluating magnesium alloys for automotive applications. Hassan obtained his PhD in Materials Science from Japan’s University of Hokkaido’s Graduate School of Engineering. Hassan has published 3 granted patents and 20 materials science research papers focusing on corrosion and corrosion protection solutions for metallic alloys.

Bill Scotting

Bill joins Vinca’s Advisory Board as our commercial metals and strategic leadership specialist, having served as Group CEO of Nyrstar, Head of Corporate Development at Aurubis and CEO of ArcelorMittal’s mining division. Bill began his career as a metallurgist at BHP in Australia, and subsequently held operational, business transformation, strategy and consulting roles with CRU, McKinsey & Co. and Mittal Steel. Bill holds an BSc (Metallurgy) from Australia’s University of Newcastle and an MBA, with distinction, from Warwick Business School in the UK. Bill served as a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Advisory Council for Mining & Metals (2010-2012).

Chris Reardon

Chris has been a mining engineering profession for over 25 years in open cut mine planning, operations and management. Chris has retired as Sudan Country Manager for Orca Gold, while previously working as European Managing Director for Deswik. Chris also worked as Technical Director for Africa Minerals in Sierra Leone, for SRK Consulting as a Principal Mining Engineer and for KCGM as Chief Mining Engineer. Chris obtained his BSc. from the University of Queensland in Brisbane Australia.

Business Development Officer – Vinca Technologies  

Nick Taylor

​

Nick is Head of Business Development for Vinca Technologies. Nick previously worked for Royal Bank of Canada as European Head of Natural Resources Investment Bank and before, for Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong & London, in similar roles. Nick began his career at PWC. Nick obtained his Masters in Natural Science from the UK's University of Cambridge. Nick consults to EMR Capital and is a non-executive director of Jubilee Metals Group Plc.
